Embraced by magnificent mountain views and uplifted by a fresh breeze, our brief was to mirror both these feelings of comfort and revitalisation. The design elevates concepts of a mountain retreat: each space designed to either make the house come alive when the young couple and their friends commune, or provide room for rest and release when sanctuary is sought.

Owner of the apartment is a property developer who wants something different from traditional luxurious or avant-garde style. The young couple envisions the 200-square-meter home a reflection of their lifestyle and hospitality. STYLUS STUDIO leverages a modern approach to bring the couple’s vision to life: natural materials, modernised mid-century furniture, black and white checkerboard tiles.
In the living room, a striking art collection evokes vivid memories of the couple. Music and art are their companion, and inspiration of endless conversations.
The female owner is known for her cooking as well as academic excellence. While family and friends are enjoying her east-meet-west home cooking in the enlarged, exquisite open kitchen, her partner showcases his unique bartending skills. Fine wine, gourmet food and laughter all mixed together like a classic cocktail.
The green Maistri kitchen cabinet from Italy takes inspiration from the majestic mountain view outside. While a Sub-Zero fridge, a Wolf oven and an Apparatus wall sconce from New York in the Victorian style kitchen form as a backdrop for the lady of the house to shine and showcase her cooking skills.
Our designer handpicked a set of armchairs from a restaurant for the owner. These Sergio Rodrigues’ “Oscar” armchairs were originally designed in 1956 for the Sao Paulo Jockey Club. Sixty-six years on, they continue to be a unique symbol in modern furniture history. And now they have found a new home here.
Beyond the buzz, the comfortable and cosy master bedroom brings a sense of tranquillity. Far from the chattering crowd in Central skyscrapers, enjoying a peace of mind is what really matters in this relaxing home.
Paying tribute to nature Balancing colonial and mid-century elements
Splendid mountain, refreshing breeze, energetic mind. An interior design that is flexible and comfortable enough to bring a new home to life while providing lavish space for rest. We appreciate the importance of home. Inspired by the surrounding of this exquisite apartment, we pay tribute to nature and strike a balance between colonial and mid-century touches.
